Frank Assali:
Born in Italy, Frank came to America in 1940. His family originally settled in Newman. Frank moved to Hughson to work with his uncle on his peach orchard in 1966. In 1978 Frank and Marie purchased an almond huller and began California Grown Nut Company.
Marie Assali:
Marie Assali is co-owner, of Assali Farm Properties in addition to being Vice President and co-founder of California Grown Nut Company. Marie has served on numerous boards and commissions, and is currently serving as one of five regional directors of the Stanislaus Farm Bureau. She is a member of the Ag Foundation Board and the CSU Stanislaus Agricultural Partnership Committee; and president of the Hughson Chamber of Commerce
